Give Something Back

Jennifer Bergstrom credits classes with Peter Drucker for instilling in her the idea that managers should be contributors to society. With that in mind, she is giving back to her alma mater through a real-estate gift bequest.

Jennifer earned her EMBA from CGU in 1993. She was initially attracted by the small class sizes, and it was in those settings that she learned about Peter Drucker's management approach from the man himself.

"I wanted my education to be more than what was offered in the typical business school curriculum, and I was drawn to Peter Drucker's philosophy of managers as contributors to society," Bergstrom remembers. "What I found when I came to CGU was more than an education, it was a rich life experience that has brought me compounded interest for the investment I made."

Throughout her career, and now as a senior project manager at Baxter Healthcare, she has lived the philosophy she learned at the Drucker School. Most recently, Bergstrom decided to give back by making a planned gift to CGU. "I wanted to contribute, and a planned gift was a good option for me," said Bergstrom.
